Spa Etiquette
Before You Start
- Stay home if you are experiencing any of the following symptoms: Cough (new onset or worsening of chronic cough), Shortness of breath, Fever or chills, Sore throat, Congestion or runny nose, Muscle or body aches, Headache, New loss of taste or smell. We will work with you to reschedule your sauna session
- You must be at least 18 years of age to reserve a session, unless attending with parent.
- Due to the enhancing effects of alcohol in the body during thermotherapy, a no drinking prior or during is enforced for our guests safety. Sauna requires a level of awareness that being under the influence of alcohol or other drugs impairs. If you are noticeably under the influence of any kind, you will be asked to leave and no refund will be provided. If you choose to drink after leaving Moonglade, hydrate excessively.
- You may not bring outside food unless arranged and approved by Moonglade prior to your private session. However, you may bring a filled reusable water bottle. We might have a look to see what’s inside, should we find alcohol, your spa visit will be cut short, without a refund.
- To maximize your experience and protect the cleanliness of the sauna and tubs, we ask that all guests have a shower prior to arrival. Make-up remover towels are provided in case needed
- The site is unfortunately not adapted and is difficult for people with reduced mobility to access.
- The Nordic thermal experience is not recommended for people with heart problems, hypertension, breathing problems, angina or diabetes.
During Your Session
- Close the door after you’ve entered the sauna. Please do not stand half in half out.
- Take your towel with you after each round and consider selecting a new seat upon re-entry. We want to make sure everyone has a chance to experience different seats in the sauna.
- The experience guide is always willing to help answer questions and help you gauge how long to stay in the sauna. That said, you should always exit the sauna if you feel nauseous, lightheaded, or dizzy. Feelings of being “too hot,” mildly to moderately anxious, uncomfortable, or claustrophobic are a welcome opportunity to breathe through and start to modulate that response. Your guide can help.
- Be cognizant of your time spent in the mineral hot tub. Be sure to allow all guests of the session to have an equal amount of time in the tub. The tub fits 2-4 people, please be willing to share with at least one individual even if you are attending your session without someone you know.
- Moonglade is a non-smoking environment throughout the property.
- We ask that cell phones be left in your vehicle, but if you must keep it with you, please ensure it is in silent mode and any phone conversations are done outside of the public areas in which the experience is taking place. Playing of music through your device is not allowed.
- If you want to share your spa experience with your loved ones and immortalize memories, you may ask your experience guide to take photos for you or do so with your phone or camera, but please be sure that other guest’s privacy is not infringed on in the photo/video frame.
- As you may expect, Experience Moonglade is designed to be a peaceful place and thus, inappropriate behavior does not have its place here.
